Bio: Born in Moscow to a very well-to-do Russian noble, Dmitri Braginsky, Ivan grew up primarily in the lap of luxury, rubbing elbows with other famous nobles and attending balls thrown by the royal family themselves. However, generations of poor money management and his father's increasing drinking problem wore their assets down to nearly nothing; they've been skating by on name alone for some time. Both parents are now dead; the mother in Ivan's teenage years and the father not long after, of suspicious and unclear causes. Ivan has been seeking to restore honor to the family name while setting his sisters up with beneficial marriages (though there has been no talk of his own marriage or future family) and attempting to restore the family coffers. He's risen very quickly through the ranks of the Russian Air Navy with his brutal victories in the Balkan Wars. It's been rumored that he doesn't care how many men he loses, as long as he wins the battle. He's also been an avid proponent of the idea of Pan-Slavicism and unity of Eastern Europe against the Western counties like France and Britain, whom he distrusts.

Ivan makes use of his sharp intelligence and skill in military tactics to devastating effect; his brigade was called in to quell the occasional uprising among the Imperial territories and he has never failed to suppress them. To bring glory and strength to Mother Russia is to win favor in the eyes of Tsar Nikolai II and thereby secure his family's future. His eye remains on the West, where trouble is brewing; perhaps there is an opportunity to seize more territory there...
